Jillian is a graduate of New York's Fashion Institute of Technology with additional journalism studies at Columbia University. She began her career as an assistant to Valerie Steele, curator and director of the Museum at FIT. Following her time at the museum, she held positions in fashion and editorial at Paper Magazine before embarking on a freelance writing and fashion styling career. Additionally, Jillian has held positions at W Hotels Worldwide, Cotton Incorporated and as a consultant for public relations and marketing agencies in New York and Los Angeles.
Jillian has become especially known for her expertise in the denim industry after founding acclaimed denim site, DenimHunt.com. Brands such as Prps, G-Star, Rock & Republic, and Mavi have all utilized Jillian's knowledge in a variety of special events and public relations activities. She has also been called upon by outlets such as Life & Style Weekly, Page Six Magazine, and the Sundance Channel's Big Ideas for a Small Planet for her knowledge of the denim market.
Currently residing in Brooklyn, Jillian enjoys contemporary artists such as the late Jeremy Blake, visits to the planetarium, international media, and spending time in her hometown of Buffalo, Wyoming.
